A Heart Painted Black

There, a beauty stood, hair and skin soft like silk
She with a heart that was once so pure, had been painted black
Her cheeks were stained with rivers coming from her eyes
There were no ears to hear her sorrowful cries
No eyes to see her stand upon the stool of giving in
No soul to convince her that a noose would do no good
Nothing could stop the noose from going around her neck
Nothing to stop the noose from doing it's sorrowful job
Not a soul heard her choking, No soul to save her
No soul to save her from deaths hands, silence
The deed was done, the struggle had stopped
She slowly swayed back and forth, lifeless
No one had missed her except for the one
She had cared for so deeply, who rejected her loving heart
Her heart painted black, never gave another beat
Her once blue eyes deep like the sea were stone cold
Her body, once moving with beauty, hung stiff.
this is a poetry piece about suicide and how one simple act can save a soul from death.
